For months and months we've tried to get Lucas to say anything that would clue us in to when he had to go to the bathroom!  I swear, I seriously thought he would be 75 and never get out of diapers!  He would go from baby diapers to man diapers for sure!

Normally sensory kids hate being wet so they train early but Lucas HATED being changed even more than being wet.  He just couldn't handle being touched!   It has always been an issue for us with changing him.

Well, today, during a therapy session, which shocked me, what comes out of his mouth?  "Hey, I'm pooping!", and sure enough he was!  This is such a huge deal for us or I wouldn't be sharing it.  This means it might be time to start with the potty!

I'm seriously wiping tears as I write this! If you could have seen him just a few short months ago, the thought that this boy would be doing anything of the sort was simply out of the question!  He could not speak or utter a word that was clear enough to understand at all.

So happy for you! Liam's still having aversions to sitting on anything with a hole... potty, toilet etc... and we are working on that... it's a school goal too... but hopefully, like Lucas he will just be 'ready' one day...

Well done! We spent almost three years potty training our eldest from the time he could sit on the potty to the time when he actually *would* use it.

He used to run off an hide to do it somewhere.

We had to take a year off in the middle because the paediatrician told us that he (and us) were too stressed about the whole thing.

Congratulations on hitting a milestone!
