I thought long and hard on how to present this giveaway entry process! The easiest way that I thought this would work is to list all of the contacts on day ONE! Our members will have an opportunity to gain over 70 entries per day by contacting the media in efforts to get them involved and cover a story about SPD and the SPD Foundations 30th Anniversary Celebration that will be held from October 2-31. You can help with contacting one or all of them, I appreciate any help at all that you can provide. My mission with doing this awareness event is to make SPD a name that people know. Just like the millions of children who suffer with Autism, these children deserve to be heard and cared for too. Just think of how proud you are going to feel when you see an article in the newspaper, magazine, or a news story covered on TV with your family. How great will it be to tell your children, grandchildren, and family members that YOU were the reason that these kids are being recognized! Thank you!
RULES:
Entrants may contact each of the listed news media contacts with the pre-typed message listed below, once per day, per person, per computer. All you need to do is copy and paste the messages below either into your email or twitter box to tweet.
Please, please, please do not try and contact them with the same computer with a different email address. They will see your IP address, know its from the same person, and consider it spam!
I am trying to conduct this event in the most non-spamming, nice way to ask our media for help with a VERY important awareness campaign.
If any of our news contacts listed below notify me that they will be covering a story or if they ask to have their name removed from our list, I will let you know on here and remove them immediately.
The media can make the difference in getting our efforts out there and I really am not looking to upset anyone or break any rules. The contacts that I have listed below were very hard to find, it took me a very long time, and I did the best that I could do to find people that I thought could make a difference. If you know of another contact or email address that I don't have listed please feel free to email me and I can add it to the list.
Prizes:
Every entry will be entered into the daily prize pool! An entrant is not limited to one prize! The only entry pulled everyday will be the winner. Each entrant will have the opportunity to win all 30 prizes! The more contacts that you reach out to, the more entries you receive.
Our prize list has some of the prizes listed already but we are receiving prizes everyday from sponsors who are making the decision to add their names to our list of amazing companies who want to help these kids as much as we do. I have contacted some other pretty awesome potential sponsors that are thinking of adding their names to our list. I don't want to give anything away so think of how upset you'll be if you don't participate and see later what you missed out on! ; ) Trust me on this!
Entries
I also thought long and hard about making this entire event as easy and effortless as I could so that you didn't feel like it was too much effort to help us. We have two methods that we chose to use in contacting email and Twitter. Face book has a legality issue with this type of event so we decided not to use them for our efforts.
Email entries: The contacts are listed below and you will need to CC me on the emails that you send. You won't need to leave a message or confirmation because the cc will be the confirmation.
Twitter Entries: Tweets are even easier than emails but a lot of people are unfamiliar with twitter so I wanted to make sure everyone had a way of helping if they wanted to.
I have the contacts below listed in the same order as on the entry form for easy filling. Please check off which contacts you made on the entry form and send it to me. You do not need to resend the form a hundred times. Each box that is checked will get its own entry.
