What Makes Me a Proud Mommy!

What makes me a proud Mommy?
I would love to tell you!

I am a proud mother of two of the most beautiful children in the world. One of which has ADD, ADHD, and the beginning stages of tourette's syndrome and another who is autistic and has severe sensory issues. Neither of which can control themselves at times.

We were given spaces at the back of our church as not to upset anyone with their outbursts. I am proud when we walk up to receive communion with the smallest kicking and screaming as the entire church watches him, hoping that this little boy is receiving more prayers than anyone in the church at that moment!

I am proud Mother, when they can't control what they do in public and parents start to look and stare, comments of what a horrible mother I must be because I can't control them, soon follow, and I can calmly look at my children lovingly the same way they look at their "Normal" children and see the beauty in them and be proud of how well they are behaving within their control.

I am a proud Mother when they accomplish even the simplest task, not just perfection.

I am a proud mother when my youngest can't speak very well and tells me "Luv do mommy".

I am a proud Mother when my own special needs child is given an award at school for helping other special needs children in his school and standing up for them.

I am a proud mother when I hear comments of what a shame you were stuck with TWO "like that", and I tell them, they should be so lucky to be gifted with "TWO LIKE THAT!!!!"

I look at my children with all of their imperfection all of their struggles and I am the proudest Mother in the world because I know in their hearts they are working harder at making Mommy prouder than any other kid in the world!

I am SO proud to be their Mommy!

I am so proud that God thought "I" was special enough to take care of his special little angels!

These children have made me a better person!  They taught me to have patience and compassion that I never thought I could!  They have brought more love in my life than I ever dreamed possible!

My children make me SO proud to be their Mommy!

You have beautiful boys and sound like a beautiful woman!!

My 2yo niece is going to be tested for SPD, very confused the difference between that and autism. The doctors seem to convinced its not autism because she doesn't have the "symptoms" but has "symptoms" of SPD. Id love if you could share with me more information!!
