I am over the moon at all of the reviews we were able to do for Discount School Supply this time around! We had such a blast going through all of the new products and can't wait to share them with all of you.
Our first review is for Easy to use Lever Punches

One of Lucas's therapists suggested we get something like this to help with his upper arm strength. He has really weak muscle tone in his upper arms and I love that we were able to review these. Lucas really needed to work his fingers and arms to get the punchers to work. It looks like I'm having a hard time on the video but its only because I'm holding the camera with one hand and sitting backwards away from the puncher. Once you punch the pictures the cutouts collect at the bottom of the base and can be used for crafts for other things. We had so much fun using sticky tape with the punched paper afterwards! I would absolutely recommend this product to our viewers. It was fun just punching but we were able to have more fun with another project with the punched paper! Lucas loves these!

Our second review is the Timed Timer!
We made a video review for this product to share with you!
Our first introduction to a Timed Timer was with Lucas's Behavioral therapist and I LOVED IT! We use this for just about everything! Lucas is very structured and feels better when things are in order so when we need to do something in a few minutes, that timer goes on and he's watching! If he needs a time out we put the clock on a minute just like in the video and he KNOWS that he's in a time out! When he wants to do something and has a meltdown over it, I will set the clock for when he can do that particular thing and show him, "LOOK LUCAS, TWO MORE MINUTES AND WE CAN DO.........!"
This really is a staple in our house now! I can't imagine my life without it with Lucas! I guess it makes him feel safe and secure and that calms him down with certain things! Our thoughts! We love this but I really wish the alarm was louder and longer!

Of the three this would be Lucas's least favorite item. Not because its not a wonderful product but because it IS! For therapy purposes especially! Our therapists currently use shaving cream, which I hate! I always worry he will put it into his mouth and then have bathroom issues all night from it! This is non-toxic and has no smells and free of latex, dairy, casein, egg, gluten, peanut and tree nut, or soy products!! YAY! It took him a little while but he ended up LOVING IT by the end. This little champion has come such a long way! Just a few short months ago he would have thrown up or had a major meltdown if I made him do what he did in this video!About the product (from DSS)
