Missing in action!

Lucas had a very good day today.   No meltdowns, very loving, making good eye contact with Mom.    His behavioral specialist (I adore her) convinced us to go to this event that Early Intervention will be holding tomorrow for families who are in the program.  It should be a really nice day to meet with other Moms and have Lucas play with children that are going through the same thing.  They will have games and activities for the children to get involved with.  I'm really looking forward to going.  I'll take pictures and post them tomorrow.

He can be very sneaky sometimes and I should have known he was up to something when I DIDN'T hear him banging, throwing, or smashing something. LOL  I heard his normal screams of joy and pitter patter of his little feet on my kitchen floor and looked over to see him diaper less running through the house.  Yes, he took his diaper off and hid it somewhere, yet to be located!  We've looked everywhere and haven't been able to find where he stashed it!  He likes to hide things.  We find things that he hides all over the house.  When we do find his hidden gems, we usually just leave them there,  because he knows that they are there.  His stash being missing could send him into a meltdown so we just leave it alone for now.  We're hoping that he tells us where his diaper is by checking on his stash tonight.   He usually waits to check on his things while we're not looking.   I wonder if that's part of the disorder or if its just his personality.

I've added some of his artwork that he's been working on with his OT in the Picture section of the blog.  They are really cute so please take a look if you get a chance.

Wish us luck on finding our, hopefully dry clean, missing diaper! LOL

Can't wait to hear about the event! Nothing is better than getting together with a bunch of parents that get it. Good luck!

Oh, I can so relate to those quiet moments of realizing that the quiet means something is really going on... Blessings
